Summer has a way of moving fast and slow all at once, doesn't it? One minute we're packing beach bags, and the next, school supply lists are showing up in my inbox. As we get ready to send the kids back next week, I wanted to take a minute to catch you up on everything that's been happening around TMQCo this summer.
Beach Days with Family
We spent time at the beach with family this summer, and honestly, it was exactly the reset I needed. There's something about salt air and slower mornings and being with my family that always gets my creative wheels turning again. A lot of the ideas floating around in my head for future patterns and fabric designs came straight out of those quiet beach mornings with a diet cherry Pepsi and my graph paper notebook. I’m so excited for the upcoming quilt patterns I came up with!
Here’s my favorite Cherry Pepsi recipe:
1 packet of True Lime Cherry Limeade
1 can caffeine free diet Pepsi
Pour a little Pepsi into a glass, cup or whatever you like to drink out of. Pour in the limeade packet. Stir. Add the rest of the Pepsi slowly. Stir slowly. This mix causes a lot of fizz! Enjoy!

Introducing Homespun
I'm so excited to finally share my newest pattern, Homespun, with you. This one is close to my heart. It's designed to mimic the look of homespun woven fabric, that beautifully imperfect, textured feel of cloth made by hand generations ago. There's a warmth to homespun fabric that modern prints just can't replicate, and I wanted a pattern that captured that same spirit: simple, sturdy, and full of character.
Homespun is a beginner-friendly pattern, so if you've been wanting to try quilting but weren't sure where to start, this is a great one to grab. It celebrates the beauty of tradition with a simple, approachable design that's easy to follow from start to finish.

On Display in Ohio
If you're in the Cleveland area, I'd love for you to stop by Pins and Needles, where several of my quilts are currently on display. It's such an honor to have my work featured there, and if you're local (or passing through), it's the perfect excuse for a visit. Seeing your work hanging in a real shop, surrounded by other quilters' creations, never gets old.
Looking Ahead
As school starts back up next week (way too early!), things around here shift into a new rhythm too. I've got more patterns in the works, wholesale outreach continuing across the country, and of course, my Henry Glass fabric line still on track for its January 2027 launch. There's a lot to look forward to this fall, and I can't wait to share it with you as it unfolds.
Thanks for following along this summer. Here's to a great start to the school year, and to all the quilting still ahead.
