I'm hosting two Bring Your Own Project Nights! One in November and one in December. What's a BYOP Night? BYOP Night is the perfect mix of productivity, creativity, and holiday fun. A BYOP Night is a casual get-together where everyone brings a project they’re already working on, whether it’s making pajama pants, painting ornaments, sewing, making a quilt, wrapping presents, or addressing Christmas cards. It’s a relaxed and social way to make progress on Christmas projects while enjoying good company, snacks, and a cozy atmosphere.

Creating the right environment is key to a successful holiday craft night. I’m planning to have four or five folding tables set up with two to three people at each table. We’ll have Christmas music playing in the background to put us in a gifting mood
Don’t forget about the details that make a big difference. I plan to have three or four extension cords and power strips ready for glue guns, laptops, or other electronic tools, and phone chargers. Each table will have trash and recycling bins nearby, along with paper towels or cleaning wipes for easy cleanup.
Even though each guest will bring their own materials, I’ll also have a shared supply station with scissors, tape, rulers, glue sticks, hot glue guns, pens, markers, and cutting mats. I’ll also provide extras like ribbon, twine, paintbrushes, and cardstock for anyone who needs a little inspiration or forgot something at home.

Every creative night needs good food! I’ve asked everyone to bring a snack to share. I’ll have a “Snack Zone” to protect everyone’s projects from spills, and serve warm drinks like cocoa, tea, or apple cider to make the evening feel extra cozy.
At the end of Bring Your Own Project Night we’ll have a little show-and-tell. Everyone can share what they worked on, whether it’s a finished piece or just progress toward a bigger goal. It’s a great way to celebrate creativity and inspire one another.
Hosting a Bring Your Own Project Night isn’t just about getting things done, it’s about connection, creativity, and the joy of making something together. With the right setup, supplies, and snacks, you’ll turn an ordinary evening into a meaningful holiday tradition that friends will look forward to year after year. So grab your glue gun, queue up some cozy music, and get ready for a DIY Christmas craft night full of laughter, inspiration, and holiday spirit. Check back to see how my BYOP Nights go!
