New Patterns, Fabric Designs, and What’s Ahead
As a quilt pattern and fabric designer, this season has been full of exciting milestones. From preparing for a large quilt expo to finishing a brand-new quilt pattern and adding new fabric designs to my Spoonflower shop, there has been a lot happening both creatively and personally. I wanted to take a moment to share what I have been working on and what is coming next.
January always feels like a natural pause point for reflection. It is a time to appreciate what has gone well while also setting the stage for the months ahead. Right now, I feel especially grateful for the growth of this business, the support of the quilting community, and the balance of creative work and family life.

Preparing for a Quilt Expo
One of the biggest events on my calendar is the Phoenix Quilt, Craft, Sew Expo taking place January 29–31 at the Arizona State fairgrounds. I will have a booth at the show, and I am really looking forward to connecting with fellow quilters, designers, and shop owners in person. I'll have my patterns and some curated fabric bundles for sale! Quilt expos are always inspiring. There is something energizing about being surrounded by quilts, fabric, and people who truly understand this craft.
If you are attending the expo, please stop by and say hello. I'll be in booth 329! I love making new quilty friends. Shows like this are also a wonderful reminder of how vibrant and supportive the quilting community is.

A New Quilt Pattern Coming in February
I am also excited to share that a new quilt pattern will be released in February. This design has been in the works for quite some time, and watching it move from idea to finished pattern has been incredibly rewarding. As with all of my patterns, my goal was to create something that feels approachable while still offering strong visual interest.
This new quilt pattern works beautifully with a variety of fabrics and color palettes, making it a great option for quilters who enjoy putting their own personal spin on a design. I will be sharing more details soon, including fabric suggestions and construction tips, so keep an eye on the blog and newsletter if you want to follow along. (sneak peak)

New Fabric Designs in My Spoonflower Shop
Alongside quilt pattern development, I have been adding new fabric designs to my Spoonflower shop. Fabric design allows me to explore ideas in a more playful and intuitive way. Many of these designs start as simple sketches or color studies and grow into prints that work well for quilting, home decor, and creative projects.
If you enjoy building quilts around a favorite fabric or starting with a color story, I think you will enjoy what is new in the shop. These designs pair well with both modern quilt patterns and more traditional piecing styles, which makes them especially versatile.
Quilt Patterns Now Available in Arizona Quilt Shops
One milestone that means a great deal to me is seeing my quilt patterns now stocked in eight quilt shops across Arizona. Supporting local quilt shops has always been important to me, so having my patterns available in these spaces feels especially meaningful.
Quilt shops play such an important role in our community. They are places of learning, creativity, and connection. If you are located in Arizona, I encourage you to check with your local shop to see if they carry my patterns. If you are a shop owner interested in stocking them, I would love to hear from you. Here is a link to a TikTok I did for the Phoenix area shop hop. My pattterns are in five of these great shops!

A Wonderful Holiday Season and Studio Reset
Outside of work, we had a really wonderful holiday season as a family. It was full of time together, rest, and the kind of slower moments that help reset priorities. That pause carried into the new year, inspiring me to finally tackle a long-overdue reorganization of my design studio.
Reworking my studio space has been both practical and energizing. Sorting fabric, organizing tools, and creating a layout that better supports how I work day to day has already made a noticeable difference. A clear space truly does make room for fresh ideas.
Hiking and Preparing for a Backpacking Trip
Our family has also been spending time hiking in preparation for a backpacking trip later this year. Being outdoors has become an important counterbalance to time spent at the design table. Hiking offers a rhythm that feels surprisingly similar to quilting. There is steady progress, problem solving, and a lot of beauty in the details.
Some of my best creative ideas tend to surface during these quiet moments on the trail. Stepping away from the studio often brings new perspective and renewed energy when I return.

Looking Ahead
As this new season unfolds, I am feeling energized and deeply thankful. Between the upcoming quilt expo, the February quilt pattern release, new fabric designs, and continued growth with quilt shops, there is so much to look forward to.
If you are interested in modern quilt patterns, fabric design, or behind-the-scenes insight into life as a quilt pattern designer, I am glad you are here. Be sure to explore the blog and shop to see what is new, and thank you for being part of this creative journey.
More to come very soon.
